Lotus flowers rise from the water as symbols of awakening and growth. The Monstera leaves represent hidden beauty and the courage to thrive, while the roses express timeless love and vulnerability. "Jervis Bay is a hidden gem within her subconscious. 
A rare tide washes the bioluminescence to the shore, and if you are lucky, you can find it there in the dark of the moonlit night. 
Little spots of glowing bright blue dance along the shoreline and inspire myths and magic.
She surrenders.
Heart open.

 

My friend Tina and I heard that the bioluminescent algae was on the shores of Vincentia in Jervis Bay. We raced out of her friend's house where we were staying to try to get a glimpse of this magical sight. Sadly, we didn't catch it that night but will not give up the dream!" - Popi Iatrou

 

In 'Inner Phosphorescence,' the woman swims peacefully beneath the clear blue water, her body intertwined with the stillness of the green lily stems. As her heart is drawn towards the surface, the bioluminescent glow of Jervis Bay’s rare tide is transposed over her, creating a magical and otherworldly aura. The glowing blue light symbolizes hidden beauty and the quiet mysteries that exist beneath the surface, both in nature and within the depths of the soul. Popi Iatrou captures this serene moment of introspection and wonder, inviting you to discover the inner magic that lies just beyond the veil of the visible world.

✨ Collector Highlight: Julie Kennedy

Julie Kennedy was my most cherished collector in 2024, and I’m deeply grateful for her generous heart and ongoing support. A kind and loving neighbour, Julie not only collected my work — she shared it. She gifted paintings to her grandchildren, spreading joy and colour into their lives, and also commissioned a deeply meaningful portrait in honour of a beloved family friend who passed away.

Reflecting on the piece, Julie shared:
